PDC's Smart™ Kiosk Honored with Self Service Excellence Award at 12th Annual KioskCom Self Service Expo
San Fernando, CA (May 15, 2008) - Precision Dynamics Corporation (PDC), the global leader of automated wristband identification, announces that it is a recipient of a 2008 Self Service Excellence Award in the category of Best Travel/Hospitality Deployment, presented on April 16, 2008 during KioskCom Self Service Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada which was co-presented by KioskCom and Self-Service & Kiosk Association (SSKA).

PDC’s Smart™ Kiosk nomination was submitted by MEI, who supplied the bill acceptor and is integrated into the kiosk, and was presented by 5point who designed and manufactured the kiosk. Chosen by a distinguished panel of judges, PDC’s Smart™ Kiosk is the latest advancement in cashless, wireless electronic payment technology. Smart™ Kiosk’s 17” video touch screen and RFID reader/writer that allows patrons to load money using cash, credit or debit cards onto RFID wristbands issued at admissions, and also prints a receipt for each cash transaction. Its key components include a large capacity bill acceptor, magnetic stripe card reader and thermal receipt printer.

Each submission was judged solely on the criteria outlined on the awards entry form and reviewed by a panel of seasoned professionals representing firms that have deployed self-service technology, analyst firms, associations and media.
