Premier Healthcare Alliance Awards PDC-SJC with National and ASCEND Contracts
Contracts Provide Patient Safety Identification Solutions and Other Products to Premier Members at Specialty Negotiated Pricing and Terms
Valencia, CA (January 16, 2013) – Precision Dynamics Corporation–St. John, the global leader in healthcare identification solutions, announced today that it has been awarded a three-year multi-source group purchasing contract with Premier, a performance improvement alliance of more than 2,700 U.S. hospitals and 90,000 other healthcare sites. Products on the national contract include Precision Dynamics-St John’s patient identification wristband solutions, specialty labels, and related products.
Additionally, Precision Dynamics-St. John was also awarded another agreement for Premier’s ASCEND (Accelerated Supply Chain Endeavor) program for the same product category. ASCEND assists Premier alliance member hospitals in ongoing efforts to control and reduce costs through simplified purchasing processes and specially negotiated contract benefits.
The contracts provide Premier members with access to Precision Dynamics-St John’s innovative bar code and human readable wristband identification solutions; specialty labeling solutions including system labels and companion/chart labels; skin markers; filing products; and many other products at specialty negotiated pricing and terms. Used in critical points in the delivery of care, Precision Dynamics-St. John solutions help healthcare organizations to reduce medical errors, improve patient safety, and adopt best practices to maintain compliance with important patient safety goals, guidelines and regulations as promulgated by The Joint Commission, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the American Hospital Association (AHA).
